Also, for those who argue that voters inevitably grow more conservative as they age, that theory has now been widely debunked by numerous studies. What seems to happen instead is what Pew Research refers to as a “generational imprint,” in which people growing up in a certain time-period form their political views as teenagers or as young adults and largely retain those political beliefs as they grow older: www.pewresearch.org/…

So while aging does not make people more conservative, generational change does have the ability to radically transform the politics of this (and any other) nation.
